Flashback and Foodie Friday ~Ice Cream Social 2009 Revisited

As you may or may not know I'm hosting a virtual Ice Cream Social this weekend. Mr. Linky will be up no later than 10am Pacific time on July 17th and the party will continue all weekend, so if you can't add your link until Sunday or even Monday that's okay too. Any post related to ice cream is welcome! It could be a family favorite recipe, a product or ice cream store you love, ice cream dishes, ice cream jewelery, well you get the idea...ANYTHING ICE CREAM. If you don't have a post, just come and enjoy everyone else's. There is still plenty of time to make arrangements to attend the Social. Here's your personal invite!

Every Friday at Kitchen Bouquet I do a flashback post. Usually flowers from another year, or a recipe I want to make again. This week I'm going to do something a little different and flashback to the posts last year's ice cream social generated. A whirlwind tour!

Starting with the hostess (ME!), who shared a recipe for Cookies and Cream Ice Cream and I have to give credit to my husband Randy who did all of the work on this one.

Kathleen at Cuisine Kathleen made Cookie Sicles!

Jayne at A Grain of Salt visited her favorite ice cream shop, Royal Scoop and had a Chunky Monkey clone

Susan at Savoring Time in the Kitchen made an amazing Ice Cream Cake Roll

Barb at Foley's Follies got adventurous with Individual Baked Alaskas

Debbie at Mountain Breaths made these beautiful Lavender Cookie Bars

Carol at There's Always Thyme to Cook made Malted Milk Shakes!

Kate at A Spoonful of Thyme had fun with Malted Milk Ice Cream

Debbie at Dining with Debbie dished about Yarnell's ice cream and offered up a couple of yummy ice cream pie recipes.

Christi at A Southern Life named her favorite store bought as Bluebell Strawberry and homemade Vanilla and shared her favorite homemade recipe for Butterfingers Ice Cream (YUM!)

The Quintessential Magpie had some Mocha Frappuccino Starbucks ice cream with a cute little whale floating in it.

Peachkins at the Peach Kitchen showed us her sweet "Dirty Ice Creams" or sorbetes sold by street vendors in the Phillipines

Michelle at Big Black Dog reminisced about summertime ice cream socials at her church growing up and shared a recipe for Homemade Sweet Black Cherry Ice Cream and demonstrated her cherry pitter.

Mary at One Perfect Bite posted about the most beautiful Ice Cream Crunch Cake.

Rhonda at Shellbelle's TikiHut shared some awesome vintage ice cream images like this bathing beauty eating ans Eskimo Pie

Printersdevil at Playing Dishes showed us her Christmas in July snow themed table and a cute recipe for Snow Ice Cream

Karen at Nittany Inspirations showed us her fun Donvier Ice Cream Maker

Over at Frugal Antics of a Harried Homemaker Kristen whipped up some Vanilla Custard Ice cream

At Tinned Tomatoes Jacqueline made Cinnamon Ice Cream for Peter

Charmian at Christie's Corner made this awesome Dominion Day Raspberry Ice Cream

The Semi Psycho baker
made a simply beautiful dish of kiwi lime ice cream with fresh kiwis and strawberry coulis!

Sweet Charity over at Sweet Charity's Pie made contributed this brilliant Chocolate Cherry Frozen Yogurt

Brownies For Dinner
shared a recipe I still want to try Sour Cream Ice Cream

Wow..have you ever seen a more delicious roundup of ice cream than that? I doubt it! Can't wait to see you at the social :-)

If you have a flashback of any kind...it doesn't have to be ice cream related, please add your link here. This isn't the Ice Cream Social link up...just my weekly Flashback Friday link up!

I'm participating in Foodie Friday this week over at Designs by Gollum. Go check it out HERE.

I was tempted to mention it in my blog, it's a weird memory but my dad used to make "pizza burgers". He'd just have a burger and top it with spaghetti sauce and call it a pizza burger. He probably just did this when we were out of ketchup. :-)

I especially love the picture with the little wooden spoons. They bring back memories!
